Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 August 2026

Hydrafetch ("we", "us") provides a web data API that turns URLs into clean Markdown and structured data. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website, dashboard, and API, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].

Data we collect from you

Account and workspace data. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the workspace details you provide. Workspaces are multi-tenant: your data is logically isolated from other customers'.

Billing data. Payments and subscriptions are handled by our billing provider, Kelviq. We receive and store records of your plan, credit balance, and invoices. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

API usage data. When you call the API we record the request you made (including the URLs or queries you submitted), the outcome, the credits consumed, and operational metadata such as timestamps, your API key identifier, and originating IP address. We use this to operate the service, meter credits, show you your own activity, enforce rate limits, and debug problems.

Support communications. If you email us, we keep the correspondence.

Content we fetch on your instruction

The service fetches web pages you (or software using your API key) direct it to. We store the fetched raw content, including the page's HTML, together with the outputs derived from it (Markdown, structured data, extractions). Stored raw content is retained so that you can re-process a page you already paid to fetch without fetching it again; it is not modified after capture.

Pages on the public web can incidentally contain personal data. For content fetched at your direction, you decide what is fetched and why; we process it only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis for the collection and for your downstream use of the results, as set out in our Terms of Service.

Cookies

Our marketing site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The dashboard uses cookies and similar storage strictly to keep you signed in and to make the product work.

Subprocessors

We run the core service, including the API, databases, and stored page content, on infrastructure we operate ourselves. We use a small number of third-party providers:

ProviderPurposeData involved
Amazon Web Services (SES)Transactional and account email deliveryEmail address, email content
KelviqSubscription billing and payment processingName, email address, billing details
CloudflareContent delivery, DNS, and network securityIP address, request metadata

We will update this list if our providers change.

Retention

Account and billing records are kept for as long as your account exists and as required for legal and accounting purposes afterwards. Usage records are kept to provide your activity history and for operational analysis. Stored page content is retained to provide the re-processing capability described above. When your account is deleted, we delete or de-identify the personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it.

Security

API access is authenticated with signed keys. Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data we will notify you without undue delay.

Your rights

You can access and update your account information from the dashboard. You can ask us to provide, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights; we will honour valid requests under applicable law.

Children

The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced to account holders by email. The date above reflects the latest revision.
